This commemorative coin is the fourth and last in the series "5th Centenary of the Circumnavigation Voyage of Ferdinand Magellan" and alludes the conclusion of the famous and historic epic in 1522.
The pioneering expedition led by Ferdinand Magellan set out from Seville (Spain) on August 10, 1519, with a crew of about 265 men on board five ships. On September 6, 1522, it ended with the arrival of the Nao Victoria, with only 18 men commanded by Juan Sebastián Elcano, at Sanlúcar de Barrameda (Spain).
